About Stephanie

Stephanie Statham-Sullivan is a self-taught artist whose journey into painting began during one of the most challenging seasons of her life. After a cancer diagnosis led her to step away from a career in the medical field, she turned to art as both refuge and release. What started as a way to quiet physical pain became a powerful calling.

Her work is bold, expressive, and deeply personal. Each original piece tells a story — of happiness and hardship, resilience and vulnerability, joy and adversity. Some works are playful and celebratory; others lean into difficult or even controversial themes. All of them are honest.

Stephanie paints from lived experience. Her art reflects the complexity of the human spirit and the beauty that can emerge from struggle.

She has been married to her husband, Wayne, since 1997, and together they have a son, Richard. The family resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, where Stephanie continues to create original works that speak with color, courage, and conviction.
